Report: Saints’ Joe Morgan Charged With Drunken Driving, Said to Have Blood Alcohol Content Level of 0.218

Joe MorganJoe Morgan had a busy weekend.

The Saints wide receiver was arrested Saturday and charged with driving under the influence, according to police reports cited by the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Louisiana State Police found Morgan asleep in his car, and he had poor balance and smelled of alcohol, according to the Times-Picayune. Morgan not only failed field sobriety tests but had a blood alcohol content level of 0.218, far surpassing the legal limit of 0.08, and was not carrying a valid driver’s license.

Morgan was later  released on a $1,150 bond, according to the report.

In his first full season with the Saints, Morgan made five starts in 14 games, scored three touchdowns, and caught 10 passes for 379 yards.
