Some good ol’ fashioned patriotism ended a dispute between Terry Francona, Michael Bourn and MLB umpire Tom Hallion on Sunday.

Bourn thought he was safe on a stolen base attempt in the top of seventh inning, and things got heated enough between the outfielder and umpire that Francona came out to join in on the fun. It looked like the argument would never end, but then Miss New Hampshire, Samantha Russo, started singing “God Bless America.”

The three agreed to honor their country by ending the argument, removing their caps and enjoying Russo’s rendition.
