Tim TebowThere is certainly a large number of people who want former Broncos and Jets quarterback Tim Tebow on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Just over the last week, not only was the White House implored to get Tebow a job in Florida, but a local lawyer dedicated his television ads to placing the former Heisman winner in Jacksonville.

However, a group of Jaguars fans have had enough, according to ESPN, and they’re doing something “brash and in-your-face” about it.

The Bold City Brigade, which refers to itself as a “new-age” group of Jaguars boosters, have created the website Evenifhesreleased.com in response to all the Tebow talk. The website’s URL is a reference to Jaguars general manager David Caldwell‘s comment that the team “can’t imagine a scenario where [Tebow would] be a Jaguar, even if he’s released.”

“The website is a direct response to the petition and the lawyer’s ad, yes,” said Bold City Brigade president John Caputo. “It is our response as actual season ticket holding die-hard Jaguars fans. It’s not meant to be anti-Tebow as much as it’s meant to show support and solidarity for Shad Khan and the team’s vision for the franchise and its direction.

“Obviously it’s frustrating to be constantly bombarded by the Tebow-mania … The media knows what sells. If a petition started by a random guy in New Jersey that isn’t even a Jaguars fan can get that much attention, then obviously we are fighting an uphill battle. The website is our way of saying to the national media: ‘You want something brash. Well then, here.'”

The group says the website isn’t so much anti-Tebow as it is about dispelling myths about the franchise and its fan base. The Bold City Brigade says it’s tired of the perception that the team has trouble selling tickets, or is perpetually on the verge of moving to Los Angeles.
