Vote: Who Will Be the Most Important Receiver For Tom Brady This Season?

Gronk Daily PollThe Patriots receiving corps got some unwelcome news on Wednesday when the team announced that Rob Gronkowski will have to undergo back surgery. The tight end will go under the knife in mid-June, and may or may not be ready for Patriots training camp.

If he can get (and stay) healthy, Gronk could be a crucial linchpin in the Pats’ offense in 2013. The big man had 55 receptions and 11 touchdowns in 2012 and was an electric personality on the field.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady lost one of his favorite targets, Wes Welker, in the offseason, but he has already been getting to know Pats newbie Danny Amendola on the field. The two were seen working on routes together at USC even before organized team activities began this spring.

Amendola comes to the Patriots having recorded 63 catches and three touchdowns in 2012 with the St. Louis Rams. Brady said it’s unfair to compare Amendola with Welker, but he already sees promise in the new receiver.

Another question mark when it comes to receivers is Aaron Hernandez. The veteran had a strong showing in 2012 but could miss part of the 2013 season while recovering from shoulder surgery.

All three receivers could make an impact for the Patriots this season, but who should Brady look to most?
