Any Stanley Cup Final game is tough to watch for diehard hockey fans, but one Blackhawks fanatic almost didn’t make it through Game 3 between the Bruins and his beloved Hawks.
Dave Thomas of west suburban Oswego, Ill., had a heart attack during Chicago’s 2-0 loss at TD Garden, according to NBC Chicago. He was transported to Edward Hospital in Naperville, where he continued to watch the game.
“My heart monitor was off the charts and I was yelling like I was in a bar!” he said in an email to NBCChicago.com. “The whole cardio floor had the game on! I love my Hawks but guys you’re killing me for real!”
