ArnessonThe Boston Bruins selected 18-year-old Swedish defenseman Linus Arnesson with the 60th pick in the 2013 NHL draft on Sunday night.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Arnesson is described by eliteprospects.com as a defensive defenseman “with good mobility and size.” Last year he had one assist and a minus-3 rating in 31 games for Djurgardens IF Stockholm of the Swedish Elite League.

Eliteprospects.com also had this to say about him: “Arnesson is not flashy at all but always gets the job done. Has good positioning, makes easy and smart plays, and rarely puts himself or his teammates in complicated situations. Has some offensive upside and will join the rush at times, but it is his overall sound defensive game that makes him a standout prospect.”
