Brad Marchand scored two goals in the first period for the Bruins, and he was almost responsible for a third in the second period. Problem was, it would’ve been for the Penguins.
Marchand had a bad penalty for the second game in a row, giving Pittsburgh’s dangerous power play another chance to do their thing and lift the Pens back into the game. They didn’t, but it should serve as a reminder to the rest of the Bruins lineup that Pittsburgh is dangerous enough with as many guys on the ice as Boston. They don’t need the help of an extra attacker.
