The stakes are high in the Dwight Howard free agency game.

First, the Lakers begged Howard to stay in Los Angeles. Now, a Dallas-area food chain is offering Howard free food for the rest of his life should he choose to sign with the Mavericks.

Raising Cane’s, a chicken finger chain, has paid for a number of billboards across the area to get the word out using the hashtag “#Canes4Dwight.” Howard could visit any of the 20 Dallas/Fort Worth-area restaurants for free chicken fingers for life.

Howard will officially be on the free agent market at 12:01 a.m. Monday, and Kobe Bryant has already made it clear that he would like Howard to return to Los Angeles. Howard was traded to the Lakers in August 2012 and played in 76 games, averaging 17.1 points in 35.8 minutes per game.
