Doc RiversThe rumors that were once nearly a reality are now fizzling away just as fast as they came about — and Doc Rivers is not happy about it.

After days of negotiations and waiting, Rivers and Celtics general manager Danny Ainge have reportedly put an ax to the trade that would involve sending Kevin Garnett and Rivers to the Clippers, according to Yahoo! Sports. Reports say that Rivers believes the talks between the teams to be dead.

While the teams went back and forth to no avail, the circus around Rivers has only grown. Adding to the report that there was a near physical altercation with Rajon Rondo, Rivers is now evidently upset with Clippers owner Donald Sterling as well. All of the sitting in limbo has been construed as a cheap shot at Rivers, Ainge and the Celtics.

Rivers has taken the weekend to decide on his future and whether or not it will be in Boston. It is expected that he will announce his decision Monday.
