Doc Rivers’ Son, Jeremiah, Blasts Bill Simmons on Twitter for Comments Made About Father

Doc Rivers wanted to call Bill Simmons an idiot on Thursday night but decided he was too classy to do so. Fortunately, Rivers’ son, Jeremiah, picked up the coach’s slack.

The feud came to be when Simmons said the elder Rivers quit on the Celtics. Rivers made it clear he wanted to leave Boston to coach the Clippers. He got his wish when Los Angeles exchanged a first-round pick in 2015 for the former Celtics coach.

The younger Rivers, who plays with the NBADL’s Maine Red Claws, went on a tirade against Simmons via Twitter, going as far as to call him an “internet bully.” Check out Jeremiah’s tweets below.

Rivers then went on to retweet five supporters of his cause to rally against Simmons.

Simmons didn’t respond to Jeremiah directly, but he did get the last word in. Maybe his son can call Jeremiah a “poop head,” or something equally as childish.
