“Sorry” isn’t going to cut it, no matter how many times Duncan Keith says it.

During Tuesday night’s Western Conference finals game in Los Angeles, Keith slashed Kings player Jeff Carter right in the mouth as the two skated up ice. Keith and Carter were going at it, exchanging some innocent love taps, before Keith smacked Carter in the kisser with his blade. Keith tried to offer Carter an instant apology as the King was sprawled out on the ice and appeared to say “sorry” once again after he served his penalty.

It appeared as though Keith didn’t actually try to remove Carter’s lips from his face, but the fact that he swung his stick at his opponent may result in some sort of disciplinary action by the league.
