Fan Bowls Over Small Child While Going After Grand Slam Ball in Mariners-White Sox 16-Inning Game (Video)

The White Sox’ 7-5 win over the Mariners in 16 innings on Wednesday was memorable on a few levels, but what may end up being the most enduring image from the game didn’t involve any of the players.

The contest featured 13 innings of scoreless baseball followed by both teams putting five runs on the board in the 14th. For the Mariners, those runs came via a two-out Kyle Seager grand slam, which was highlight-reel-worthy on its own until it led to something even more memorable.

As Seager’s ball dropped into the stands, a Seattle fan hustled for the souvenir — and completely ran over a small child in the process. There weren’t a lot of fans in the stands to start with, but apparently Mr. White T and Cargo Shorts wasn’t going to let Junior get in the way of what would later be identified as the first game-tying grand slam in extra innings in baseball history.

Check out the bulldozing in the video below.
