The sports marketing arm of Fenway Sports Group, Fenway Sports Management, announced that it has hired Jennifer Flynn as general counsel. Flynn will also continue in her role as assistant general counsel and senior vice president of the Boston Red Sox.

“Jen’s keen ability to handle and advise on a broad range of complex matters has been key to our business growth and success,” said Fenway Sports Group executive vice president of corporate strategy/general counsel Ed Weiss. “Her counsel is widely sought after within the company and respected throughout the industry. This promotion rightly recognizes her role as an important member of senior management at FSM, and her increasingly broader management abilities.”

Flynn received a law degree from Boston College before beginning her career with the Boston Red Sox, where she currently handles a wide range of legal matters. Among them are contract negotiations for the NHL Winter Classic, Frozen Fenway, an NCAA Division One outdoor ice hockey series, professional football friendlies and annual summer concerts.
