Fans watching Arizona State and Cal State Fullerton already had to wait two hours for the matchup to start after a 13-inning affair between Columbia and New Mexico pushed back the game’s start time.
Then, midway through the second inning, they had to wait another minute and a half while a husky wandered aimlessly around the field. No one seems to know where the husky came from or how he made his way onto the field, but he put a smile on everyone’s face as he gleefully jogged across the outfield grass.
And no, the University of Washington is not in the tournament, nor is Northern Illinois. UConn is playing across the country in Blacksburg, Va., while this game took place in Fullerton, Calif.
