One of the lasting images that will be associated with Jaromir Jagr will be the hockey legend’s hair. Jagr broke into the league more than 20 years, when style was much different than it is now.

Jagr’s long-flowing mullet became a staple for a player who evolved into a larger-than-life figure who is one of the best players of all time. It also makes for some awesome photos.

Jagr’s career longevity along with the fact that he’s playing in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in more than 20 years, made him a popular figure at Tuesday’s media day. Just about everything Jagr was discussed, including the evolution of his hair.

“Well, you know,” Jagr said with a smile, “when I had the long hair, I wouldn’t say it was a style, but I wasn’t the only one who had it.  There was a lot of guys, maybe not that long, but a lot of guys wearing long hair, so … now it’s a different style. But it’s going to come back.  Everything is just coming back. Ten years later, you’ll see a lot of guys with long hair.”

We can only hope.
