Joel Quenneville Says Marian Hossa Will ‘Likely’ Play in Game 4 Against Bruins

Marian HossaBlackhawks forward Marian Hossa has yet to find the back of the net in the Stanley Cup Final, but through two games against the Bruins, it looked like he was ready to break out. That’s why it was a pretty tough blow for Chicago to take when they had to scratch the veteran forward just minutes before Game 3.

It sounds like Hossa should be back for Game 4, though.

That’s according to head coach Joel Quenneville, at least. Quenneville told the media Tuesday at TD Garden that Hossa was “likely” to play in Game 4 on Wednesday. He was scratched just before puck drop on Monday night with what the Chicago coach labeled as an upper-body injury.

Hossa is tied for the team lead with 15 points this postseason. He’s scored seven goals and added eight assists. He’s also a pivotal part of a struggling Chicago power play, with three power-play goals during the playoffs.
