Jon Lester Must Find Way to Finish Counts, Innings to Return to Winning Ways (Video)

Getting ahead of batters has not been a problem for Jon Lester this season, but finishing them off has.

After starting the season 6-0, the Red Sox starter dropped four of his next five decisions and has now gone nearly a month and a half without a win. Manager John Farrell addressed Lester’s recent struggles before Thursday’s game against Toronto, mentioning the lefty’s recent trend of letting hitters off the hook and allowing teams to come alive with two outs.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
