Jose Iglesias, Will Middlebrooks ‘Could End Up Sharing Third Base’ As Iglesias Continues Hot Streak (Video)

It seems Jose Iglesias will be getting his shot as a utility infielder. Iglesias stepped up into the role in the absence of injured Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks, and he made a sound case for why he should get to stick with the big league club.

Iglesias’ success seems to be a blessing and a curse for manager John Farrell, who benefits from Iglesias’ strong play but also has to figure out how to juggle playing time for both Iglesias and Middlebrooks at third base. Check out the video above to hear how Pete Abraham thinks Farrell will handle the situation.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
