Mike Napoli is apparently feeling under the weather.

Napoli, who started Thursday’s game at first base, was replaced by Mike Carp before the start of the bottom of the third inning. The Red Sox have since announced that Napoli exited because of illness.

Napoli doubled against Orioles starter Kevin Gausman in the second inning, but nothing stuck out while he ran the bases. He later headed down to the clubhouse, though, and Carp then took over.

Napoli is hitting .262 with nine home runs and 49 RBIs this season.
