“Clever” doesn’t even start to tell the story of what Elijah Hood was up to Tuesday night. “Crazy” may get most of the job done.
Hood, a top running back recruit from Charlotte, N.C., had some fun with the letters he’s been receiving from the University of Alabama. Hood has committed to Notre Dame, and like any player or fan who’s not on the side of the Crimson Tide, he felt the need to do a little something to show Alabama he wasn’t interested.
Hood gathered the recruiting letters he received from Alabama and flushed them down a toilet, taking a video to document the moment. He then tweeted the Vine video with a mischievous hashtag and let the hate roll in.

Hood even took a shot at Alabama’s academics.

Hood had a good time with his moment in the spotlight, answering the “no, you didn’t” folks on Twitter and saying he did the whole flushing thing in fun. But as anyone who has toyed with Alabama knows, they’re not so great at taking the jokes.
