Predators Bruins HockeyAlthough Patrice Bergeron is reportedly getting married this summer, teammate Brad Marchand wants all the mothers and fathers out there to know that he’s an all-around good guy — a real catch for daddy’s little princess.

It should come as no a surprise that Marchand has jumped into this nation-wide Bergeron love fest. Not only is Bergie playing incredible hockey, but the scrappy little winger has also been feeding off the B’s centerman all postseason, as the duo have combined for 26 points in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

“He’s a great player all around and he’s so dangerous because he does everything right,” Marchand said on Tuesday. “He’s always there to support you, he’s always coming back hard. He frustrating to play against for opponents because he’s always taking away the passing lane and in your face. He’s playing great, he’s creating opportunities every game, he’s got a couple goals. We’re very lucky to have him.”

Bergeron buried the B’s second tally on a gorgeous feed from the third member of their lethal line, Jaromir Jagr, during Monday night’s 2-0 win over the Blackhawks. It was Bergeron’s seventh tally of the playoffs and fourth in the last six games. In typical Bergeron fashion, he’s not just playing well in the offensive zone, but all over the ice — just ask Patrick Kane, who has just one assist in almost 80 minutes of ice time this series. He’s helped the B’s penalty kill reach 27 straight successful kills and he was an absurd 24-of-28 on the faceoff dot on Monday night.

He’s also a decent guy, according to that Little Ball of Hate wingman of his.

“He’s the nicest guy in the world,” said Marchand, who is yet to register a point this series. “He always wants to help you out. He’s not wrong, he’s the perfect guy. If you have a daughter, he’s the type of guy you want dating your daughter.”
