Patrice Bergeron was apparently injured in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, but the severity of it was unknown as he sat out for much of the second period. Now, it appears that Bergeron was seriously enough hurt that he required some additional attention.
Update: Patrice Bergeron has been taken to a local hospital in Chicago for observation. There is no further update at this time. ^BB—

After the game, coach Claude Julien did not provide an update on Bergeron’s condition, only saying that the center may play in Game 6. At this point, Bruins fans can only hope for the best.
