Patrice Bergeron Leaves Game 5 of Stanley Cup Final in Ambulance After Apparent Injury

Patrice Bergeron was apparently injured in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, but the severity of it was unknown as he sat out for much of the second period. Now, it appears that Bergeron was seriously enough hurt that he required some additional attention.

According to the Bruins, Bergeron was taken for observation at a nearby hospital. According to multiple reports on the scene, he left via ambulance, under his own power.

After the game, coach Claude Julien did not provide an update on Bergeron’s condition, only saying that the center may play in Game 6. At this point, Bruins fans can only hope for the best.
