Pedro Martinez Shows Good Humor, Doles Out Ice Cream to Red Sox Fans (Video)

Baseball and ice cream are the perfect combination on a hot summer day.

Former Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez helped bring those two things together Tuesday when he handed out ice cream to fans in Copley Square in Boston. Martinez is part of the “Share the Love” campaign as a way to get closer to fans and interact with them.

Martinez, who identifies as a Bostonian, said he loves having the opportunity to let the people truly embrace him. To see Martinez playing ice cream man, check out the above video.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
