There’s a reason some fans bring their own baseball glove to the ballpark — because a foul ball could come flying their way at any point during the game. Especially if you are in the front row down the foul line.
One Red Sox fan had an extremely important phone call he had to take (we are assuming) during the first inning of Tuesday’s Red Sox-Rockies matchup. He happened to be seated in the first row down the third-base line when Stephen Drew fouled a pitch off toward the visitors’ dugout. The ball went flying toward the stands and ricocheted off another fan, and the fan on the phone ended up with the souvenir in his left hand.
