Iverson is basically broke because of his poor budgeting habits during his NBA career, according to a story originally reported by The Washington Post.
Now, things may be getting even worse for the former All-Star.
TMZ reports that Iverson’s ex-wife, Tawanna, says he has failed to make a single payment on a child support agreement that was handed down in January. She says Iverson owes her $40,000 ($8,000 a month over five months) and has suggested that the judge put him in jail for his failure to pay.
Iverson and his ex are set to return to court this week. Last time they appeared in front of the same judge, however, the judge attacked Iverson’s parenting skills, saying, “He does not know how to manage the children. … [He] has been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development.”
