Doc RiversYou’re not going to believe this: the proposed deal between the Clippers and Celtics has hit another snag.

This time, it’s the Clippers who are holding up the talks between the two teams, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski. Los Angeles has yet to offer the Celtics any compensation for Doc Rivers, fueling some concern that the front office “has no authority” to meet Boston’s asking price of a first-round pick.

Previously, it was reported that the Clips were planning to finalize the deal on Thursday, but confidence in that happening is once again dropping. On top of that, NBA commissioner David Stern has expressed concern that the proposed blockbuster would be breaking league rules by trading for a coach’s services.

Wojnarowski writes that the back-and-forth nature of negotiations has “left many in the process confused.” Count fans anxiously awaiting closure among them.
