Police are now investigating whether the death of the 27-year-old man said to be an “associate” of Patriots wide receiver Aaron Hernandez is drug-related, The Boston Globe reports.

The man, whose body was found in North Attleboro, is thought to be Dorchester resident Odin Lloyd, according to reports.

Lloyd’s uncle, Ed, told the Globe that the man could possibly be Odin. Lloyd was also said to be dating the sister of Aaron Hernandez‘s girlfriend, according to WBZ, establishing Hernandez’s line of connection to him.

Hernandez failed drug tests while playing at the University of Florida, and concern about his past was part of why he fell to the fourth round in the 2010 NFL draft.

Hernandez was questioned by police and had his house searched Tuesday. He has not yet been ruled out as a suspect in the investigation.
