Rajon Rondo, Brandon JenningsThe Celtics may not be done making moves.

The Mavericks have contacted the Celtics about Rajon Rondo, according to DallasBasketball.com. Dallas just drafted point guard Shane Larkin out of Miami, whom the the Celtics showed interest in during the pre-draft process, according to Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.

The Celtics have already parted with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry and Doc Rivers this offseason. Moving Rondo would ensure a total rebuild for Boston.

Rondo is coming off ACL surgery and turns 28 in February. Reports came out earlier this month that Rondo was among the reasons Rivers wanted to leave the Celtics.

Update, 3:15 p.m.: The report was confirmed by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports and Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe. The Mavericks are looking to make one more title run with Dirk Nowitzki, according to The Globe. They also hope that Rondo could help lure Dwight Howard to Dallas.

Wojnarowski tweeted that the Celtics would need the Mavericks to take multiple contracts off their books. The Globe included that Dallas could ship Shawn Marion‘s expiring contract to Boston.
