Carlos OrtizA second man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Carlos Ortiz, 27, of Bristol, Conn., was arrested in Connecticut on Wednesday and charged with the murder, in conjunction with former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, according to the Boston Herald.

Ortiz was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice after Massachusetts police issued a warrant for his arrest. He was arraigned in court in New Britain, Conn., and will be transported back to Massachusetts. He is being held on $1.5 million bail.

Hernandez was charged with first-degree murder, along with five gun-related charges, in the case on Wednesday. He was denied the option of bail during his arraignment in Attleboro District Court. Another bail hearing is set for 2 p.m. ET on Thursday in Fall River Superior Court.

Police were looking for two accomplices in addition to Hernandez in the murder investigation, which appears to be Ortiz’s link to the case. Police have yet to release any information on how they plan to charge Ortiz.
