Second-Period Defensive Lapses Doom Bruins in Wide-Open Game 4 Loss to Blackhawks (Video)

Raise your hand if you thought the Bruins and Blackhawks would combine for nearly a dozen goals in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. We didn’t think so. 

After two tight, defensive battles, both offensives exploded Wednesday night — or, perhaps more accurately, both defenses struggled. That was especially true in the second period, when several lapses in the Bruins zone led to three Chicago goals.
