According to reports, Sergio Garcia has heard the heckles all week at Merion Golf Club during the U.S. Open. After his racist comment about Tiger Woods a few weeks ago, it only figured. However, Saturday the fans decided to get a little more specific with Garcia.
Garcia began his day at 6-over par after shooting consecutive 73s on Thursday and Friday. Garcia started on the 11th hole Saturday, and before even taking his tee shot, the ribbing began.
As Garcia was about to take his tee shot, someone in the gallery yelled “Fried chicken!” as soon as things got quiet, so the comment was clearly audible.
