Visually Impaired Athletes Run Against All Odds in Regional Track Tournament (Video)

The term “overcoming adversity” took on new meaning recently when a group of visually impaired athletes took to the track at Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, Mass. The Eastern Athletic Association for the Blind put on a track and field tournament at the school, and a group from NESN was lucky enough to meet some of the tournament’s athletes.

Athletes who participated in the event said they enjoy the challenge of track and field and hearing the cheers of people guiding them to the finish line. See more from the event in the video above.
