Ah, summer. It’s a time for cookouts, plotting underhanded ways to steal a kiss from Wendy Peffercorn and pulling off awesome trick dunks on a basketball hoop in your pool.
All right, so not everyone’s summers are as bodacious, unfortunately. Nobody since Squints in The Sandlot was able to pull off the “fake drowning” bit to perfection, and all our efforts to come up with the best pool dunks were rendered obsolete when six random kids pulled off the mother of all splash slams. The resulting alley-alley-alley-alley-alley-oop was captured on Vine.
Watch once and keep watching, because one viewing does not do the feat justice. Pay attention to:
- The kid making the first pass, under his leg, while jumping on a trampoline.
- The impeccable timing of the fourth kid, coming down the slide, and the ability of the third kid to catch and pass the ball in mid-air to a moving target.
- The dunker jumping over the final passer, and all the previous passers getting out of the way so the dunker can splash down safely.
