On what might be the hottest day of 2013, the NHL released its 2013-14 regular season schedule.
After announcing the new realigned divisional names — Atlantic, Metropolitan, Central and Pacific — the league shortly thereafter unveiled this year’s slate of games. Gone is 2013’s truncated 48-game schedule and back in its place is the 82-game slate.
The B’s find themselves in the Atlantic division, as the Northeast Division is no more. Joining the Bruins will be Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Buffalo, Ottawa, Tampa Bay and Florida.
The Bruins will open the season on Oct. 3 at home against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
