Typically when something an athlete posts on social media grabs headlines, it’s for a negative reason. So why not reverse that trend by highlighting something positive Chandler Jones posted to Instagram?

The Patriots defensive end has perfected the art of the social media video, whether it’s on Vine or Instagram. Two weeks ago, while New England was still holding minicamp, the second-year player posted a video of himself watching film with Patriots rookies Michael Buchanan, Jamie Collins and Armond Armstead.

Jones mentioned when he met with the media in May that he was trying to become a leader this season. Taking some time help the newest Patriots learn the defense away from Gillette Stadium is a great start.

After struggling the past few seasons, the New England defense has a chance to significantly improve this season if they can get all their ducks in a row. The unit is filled with talented playmakers like Jones, so at this point it’s just about putting it all together on the field.

Check out the short clip of Jones introducing his teammates in the video below.
