The San Francisco signal caller drew ire from 49ers fans and football analysts alike for donning a Miami Dolphins hat on the Fourth of July.

Kaepernick, who hails from Milwaukee, Wis., and Turlock, Calif., defended himself on Instagram with the caption, “This the hat y’all mad at?”

Well, don’t worry Bay Area football fans, Kaepernick is back in the red and gold, and despite saying “I’m goin wear what I want regardless of what you think, …” it’s unlikely we see No. 7 in another NFL team’s hat again any time soon.
