Rolaids may spell relief for some, but for any Major League Baseball fan, Mariano Rivera spells it just a little bit better.

Curt Schilling added to the attention Rivera is getting from the baseball world in his final year in the bigs Tuesday night. On a night when Rivera was the center of another special moment after entering the All-Star Game to unique fanfare, Schilling showed his respect for the Yankees closer.

The Rolaids Relief Man Award is one of the few MLB awards that is not decided by votes but rather according to statistical performance. Players are assessed certain amounts of points for wins, saves and so on. The award began in 1976, and Royals reliever Dan Quisenberry took five of them within the first decade of the honor. Rivera, considered by many the best closer in the history of the game, has also taken five in his career.

Rivera holds the all-time saves record with 638.
