Darnell Dockett hopes to bring a guest with him to Cardinals training camp. It’s not a family member or girlfriend, though — the linebacker wants to be accompanied by his brand new pet tiger.

Dockett tweeted a photo of “Buddy” earlier this week, and he hopes he’ll have a chance to show off the tiger cub to his teammates in person.

“I’m trying to bring him to training camp,” Dockett said in an interview with FOX Sports 910 AM in Phoenix. “I don’t know if they’ll let me, but we’re going to see.”

Ever the animal lover, Dockett also said he previously tried to purchase a monkey for $30,000. The monkey’s owner, unfortunately, did not oblige.

“The dude would not sell it,” Dockett said. “I offered him a price that the only other person who would offer him that much is probably Michael Jackson, rest in peace, but he wouldn’t even entertain my offer when it came to the monkey.”
