Jose Iglesias Makes Spectacular Over-The-Shoulder Catch in Red Sox’ Loss to Orioles (Video)

The bats were nowhere to be found in the Red Sox’ 6-0 loss to the Orioles Friday, but Jose Iglesias certainly made some noise with his glove.

The Red Sox third baseman made a difficult over-the-shoulder grab in foul territory during Nick Markakis‘ fifth inning at-bat against John Lackey. When the Orioles right fielder popped one down the third base line, Iglesias chased it down and made a full-speed basket catch¬†with his back to home plate.

Lackey had to be appreciative of the young third baseman’s effort, but there wasn’t much Iglesias could do for the starting pitcher in the next at-bat, as Adam Jones homered off of Lackey for the second time in the game.

Watch Iglesias track down the foul ball in the video below.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
