Earlier this week, Lindsey Vonn showed up in Scotland to tag along with boyfriend Tiger Woods as he went through a British Open practice round. However, as well as the two athletes’ relationship seems to be going, don’t expect it to end up with wedding bells.
Vonn is the subject of a profile in Vogue this month, largely focusing on her life off the slopes. Among the many things we learn about Vonn is that, after her divorce from skiing coach Thomas Vonn, she has no plans to get married to anyone again. In fact, she’s down on the institution of marriage in general.
“It definitely did not work for me, and I would not recommend it,” Vonn said. “I would also not recommend getting married!”
Writer Jonathan Van Meter then asked Vonn if she would consider getting married again.
“No, thanks! I am definitely not getting married. To anyone.”
So, while it would certainly hurt Woods in the P.R. department if he publicly cheated again, it wouldn’t have the same monetary penalty. Woods famously lost millions of dollars to ex-wife Elin Nordegren as part of their divorce.
