“I’m no longer a Boston Celtic. I’m a Brooklyn Net.”

Those were the words of Paul Pierce on Thursday, as the former Celtics star was introduced as a member of the Brooklyn Nets. Pierce, along with Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry, were introduced to the media and Nets fans Thursday at a news conference at Barclays Center, and it was an odd sight to say the least.

“Obviously Boston is going in a different direction, and in this point in our careers, we’re championship-driven,” Pierce said.

“I’m no longer a Boston Celtic. I’m a Brookyln Net. That’s what it is right now. It’s business. At some point, we all have to move on. I’m here to try and create some sort of legacy here in Brooklyn.”
