Phillies Fan Uses Impeccable Reflexes to Grab Anthony Recker’s Flying Bat, Doesn’t Spill Beer in Process (Video)

No self-respecting Phillies fan wants to be made a fool by someone in a Mets jersey. So, when one fan was put to the test Saturday, he didn’t look foolish — he looked awesome.

In the bottom of the first inning, Anthony Recker came up to the plate for New York, but his bat refused to stay in his hands. He took a hack, and his bat soared into the crowd. It bounced off the visiting dugout, off a seat and into the arms of a Phillies fan.

And true to highlight reel fan snags, his beer made it out of the incident safe and sound.
