The 2014 NFL Pro Bowl will have a whole new look.
The annual All-Star Game will feature a new format for selecting teams this season, along with changes intended to make the game more interesting to fans, according to NFL.com. Gone are the days of a traditional AFC vs. NFC matchup. The 2014 squads will be picked by each team’s captain (Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders) in a fantasy-style draft which will be aired on NFL Network.
The game itself will be a bit different, too, with the NFL Players Association giving the ax to kickoffs and implementing a shorter play clock and a running clock after incomplete passes. The ball will change teams after every quarter, and there will be a two-minute warning every quarter.
The 2014 Pro Bowl will be held on Jan. 26 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
