Though Boston is known as home to some of the most famed games in the sporting world, it will also welcome back a less traditional event this summer. For the third year running, Boston will play host to the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series on Aug. 25.
The competitive diving contest will take place at the Institute of Contemporary Art, and participants will plunge 90 feet into Boston Harbor. Four-time Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis will return as one of five international judges in the competition.
The competition begins at 2 p.m., and doors open at 1 p.m. Tickets are required for the event and can be reserved beginning July 31. Those wishing to attend are strongly encouraged to reserve a ticket before the event, as they are anticipated to go quickly.
