The Red Sox boast the highest-scoring offense in the majors, and they’ve been lighting up the scoreboard over the past week and a half.
During their last nine games, the Sox have scored five or more runs six times, culminating in an 8-2 thumping of the San Diego Padres in a Fourth of July matinee at Fenway Park. Boston lost just once during the nine-game homestand, outscoring opponents by a combined score of 51-30.
Dustin Pedroia drove in two of the Red Sox’ eight runs on Thursday, and he spoke with reporters about the team’s power surge after the game. Check out what he had to say in the video above.
