Sea BassCam Neely is a little bit busy right now as the president of the Bruins, but if he gets a chance, he’s going to make a return to the acting world. If he does, it will be as a very familiar character.

TSN’s Bob McKenzie, usually known for breaking news about NHL free-agent signings and trades, broke the news that Neely would be interested in reprising his Seabass character in the upcoming Dumb and Dumber sequel. Neely made a cameo in the orginal Dumb and Dumber movie back in 1994 as an angry, angry man at a truck stop. Neely’s scene with Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey is viewed by many as one of the best in the entire movie. Neely’s reported interest in reprising the role would certainly be welcomed by the movie’s writers and directors.

“I believe so,” Bobby Farrelly, one of the writers, recently told NHL Network when asked if Sea Bass would be in the sequel. “If his employers will allow him to. Back then, he was a lowly player, but now he’s the president of the Boston Bruins. So we’re hoping he can come back. We’ve written him in.”

There may be a role for another Bruins bruiser, too, as Farrelly has also indicated there would be interest in using current Boston forward Milan Lucic in the movie as “Son of Sea Bass.”
