Report: Daniel Alfredsson to Sign With Bruins or Red Wings, Won’t Return to Senators

Daniel Alfredsson has been a Senator since 1994, but that run will come to an end this offseason.

According to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, the Sens captain will not be returning to Ottawa and will be signing with either the Bruins or Red Wings.

In 1,178 career regular-season games with the Sens, the 40-year-old Swede has 426 goals and 682 assists for 1,108 points. In 121 career playoff games, he has 51 goals and 49 assists.
