laurent robinsonAfter letting go of wide receiver Donald Jones, the Patriots are reportedly eyeing another veteran wideout.

Seventh-year pro Laurent Robinson will visit Foxboro for a workout this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan.

Robinson has bounced around the NFL since being drafted in the third round in 2007, spending time with the Falcons, Rams, Cowboys and Jaguars.

His most successful season by far came in 2011, his lone year in Dallas, when the Illinois State product caught 54 passes for 858 yards and a team-leading 11 touchdowns. In his other five seasons combined, Robinson has caught a total of four touchdowns.

Robinson moved on to Jacksonville after his one-year contract expired, but he was unable to replicate his production. He signed a five-year deal with the Jaguars but appeared in just seven games before multiple concussions forced him onto the injured reserve, leading the team to release him after the season. He caught just 24 balls for 252 yards and zero touchdowns in a Jaguars uniform.
