On Monday, Team USA announced the 48 players that were invited to attend the team’s Olympic orientation camp in August, and while there were no major surprises as to who made the cut, there will be some tough decisions to make between the pipes.
Jonathan Quick, Jimmy Howard, Craig Anderson, Cory Schneider, John Gibson and Ryan Miller are the six goaltenders invited to the camp. Miller led Team USA to a silver medal in 2010, and was named the Olympic tournament’s MVP despite losing in the gold-medal game. But with so much talent in the crease, the position is up for grabs.
